About this role

AndrenaM is seeking an Electronics Technician. This is a unique opportunity to join our team in Hawthorne, California, contributing to the assembly, testing, and maintenance of cutting-edge technology for autonomous marine systems.

Our primary challenge is to support the development of a real-time data platform that processes data from thousands of autonomous marine systems. As an Electronics Technician, you will play a key role in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting hardware to ensure seamless operation with a variety of sensors, hardware interfaces, and AI-driven analytics, all meeting military-grade standards for reliability and security.

In This Role:

  • You will assist in the assembly, testing, and maintenance of hardware for maritime autonomous systems.
  • You will tackle technical challenges related to electronics assembly and troubleshooting, from prototype to production.
  • You will work closely with electrical engineers, software engineers, and autonomy experts to support the development and integration of our technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits, PCB assemblies, and embedded systems for autonomous marine applications.
  • Support engineers in integrating hardware with our real-time data platform to ensure reliable operation.
  • Perform testing and validation of hardware prototypes, documenting results and reporting issues for design improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining and calibrating electronic components and systems to meet military-grade reliability and security standards.
  • Follow technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate and high-quality work.

Some Types of Experiences We're Especially Excited to See:

  • Proven experience in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic circuits and PCB assemblies.
  • Expert in soldering, wiring, and assembling microcontroller-based systems or embedded electronics.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
  • Basic understanding of signal integrity, power management, and thermal considerations in electronics.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for defense or maritime electronics is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a startup, manufacturing, or technology-driven environment is desirable.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Andrenam's total compensation package.
